OK, OK all you curmudgeons - yes there was some manipulation and predictability ... but I don't care. I went with it and loved it. The humor really worked and went a long way to counter-balancing the dramatic swings. I usually am very put off by predictability but it didn't bother me in this film, it's just a lovely story, well-told.

Very well done, with excellent characterizations. The flashbacks established the warm, loving relationship that Ove and Sonja had, which was lost. Sonja saved Ove, and he had to learn to save himself.
