Bride Flight
An interesting storyline. FAR better than a soap opera even though a few cliches. I loved best getting depth into the four characters. The relationships kept your interest. Fastest 130 minute film I've ever seen. I was totally engaged. The women reflected the culture (and female roles) of the time.

Excellent story line as it relates to relationships and love--who are we? Musical score was a character itself (musical as Ada wants released from her wedding dress, then total silence as Derk cannot respont/interact with her.) Characters were credible, as they slipped between youth and older age, and their developments of self. Well done.

I love stories of women and this story before women's lib is sometimes shocking to the system of women who no longer live under these circumstances, e.g. when the doctor tells Marjorie to find some other purpose in her life--as if giving birth is all a woman can do.

Beautiful scenery, sets, and atmosphere. An earthy feel to the towns. Not overly melodramatic and believable characters. Period dress was very interesting.

A gorgeous movie - melodramatic, yes, but heartfelt. I would have liked to see the Jewish angle - Esther's ambivalence - developed more.

Nice scenery. Sort of the movie equivalent of a good summer beach read.

Stunning, complicated story. Four hearts tied together…As Frank said, It's complete.

Thank you for showing a foreign language film that most likely won't get reseased in Milwaukee. The chance to see the trials, tribulations and triumphs of other cultures is always welcome.

What a wonderful travelogue of New Zealand. The beginnings of a new country and the people and their dreams starting out.

Wonderfully written script and equally good acting performances. The interplay among the three women was exceptionally well done—and I am male.

Absolutely breathtaking depiction of the heart-breaking stories from the war and holocaust.

Generally, too heavy on the schmaltz. But, the scenes with Esther, the kid and the menorah were deeply affecting. Knowing who you are and where you’ve come from, in spite of the distance and time, is a recurring jolt in our lives. This movie jolted me in that way.
