For 17 and a half years, the Cinema Club has brought sneak previews and engaging discussions to South Florida. Originally called the Key Sunday Cinema Club, the very first screening was of UNDER THE SUN in January 2001 at the Regal Shadowwood theater. We moved to the Sunrise Cinemas at Mizner Park in fall 2003 and to the Deerfield 8 theaters in 2010 – now owned by Cinepolis Theaters. We meet ten times a year from December, 2016 to April, 2017 with moderator Karen Davis, former executive-director of the Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival, leading most of our post-screening discussions.
Moderator Karen Davis grew up in an upper Manhattan neighborhood where there were 4 movie theatres within an 11-block walking distance. She remembers her first movie as being "Samson and Delilah" which horrified less than... Visit Karen’s page
